And?

This series …
And?

This series wasn’t based upon a wager or a bet. It wasn’t made to prove a point. It was merely a gentle series depicting what it is like to travel across a continent.

If this bothers you so much then please, watch some ‘reality tv’. You’ll be astonished at the lengths tv companies go to to twist the footage to tell a completely different story.

Palin takes the …
Palin takes the opportunity to cross some of the desert on a 2km long train. (info).
at 0:20 he said: … the chance to cross the desert by train is not one I can ignore …
he could hardly get inside the car, just to make 2 seconds video, because he wasn’t allowed. there are no pictures from inside the car, because he didn’t stay inside more the this 1 second that we saw.

By karadan100 on August 14th, 2009 at 6:12 pm

So why does that …
So why does that make him a liar? They are doing stuff for the camera, that’s all.

By mshnouakchott on August 14th, 2009 at 6:12 pm

I understand the …
I understand the Mauritanian dialect Hassaniya and at 2:33 both men on the ground, especially the one who is blue dressed are asking the car controller not to stop him getting inside the car, because he just wanted to make a photo (short video) and than he’s going to get off.
I hope, it’s now clear what the I’m talking about

Thanks for your …
Thanks for your reply. What I don’t understand is why the BBC doesn’t open an online channel with a subscription fee (which amounts to the same as a licence fee). No-one who has not subscribed would be able to access the programmes. Their iplayer is not available outside the UK, and I can’t get an intelligible reason for that out of them either. I approve of the licence fee by the way because it guarantees immunity from the mind-numbing ault of advertising.

they are restricted …
they are restricted in which areas they can create revenue as the out-dated licence fee is their main source of income

youvebeenthunder… …
youvebeenthunder…etc I agree. Bloody BBC hypocrites – prowling around catching people out. It’s not as if anyone was making money out of posting BBC clips on youtube. I’ve tried taking it up with them, and get a load of corporate hogwash in reply – and they don’t answer any questions or points I raise. Why don’t they simply open their own channel and show full episodes for a small fee, for example?

This is an …
This is an excellent example of a “slave state”, the way that the British elite and friends (the Waltons, etc.) see all nations of the world.
The nations systems, railroads, highways, electricity or water systems, paid for by citizens, are for plundering wealth.
Because the countries resources are rich, monies are dedicated to getting the wealth OUT. The public, “worthless eaters”, get nothing.
99% of this train is dedicated to stealing iron ore.
Notice how locals are treated like .

Yes, but by having this video on here, they’re hardly losing money, they don’t have to scramble to remove all the good videos and ruin Youtube in the process.

They can get y …
They can get y because they OWN the copyright and it’s up to them how to post it. When you post their video without clearing it from them you are violating their copy rights and stealing!!!

By youvebeenthunderstru on August 14th, 2009 at 6:12 pm

It es me off …
It es me off how the BBC puts their own clips on Youtube yet gets all y and claims copyright on other people posting their videos.
