Do you have to pay for your own travel when doing Volunteer work?

By · Monday, May 3rd, 2010

i was thinking of doing voluteering, but i have no money because i don’t have a job at the moment. So i was wondering who pays for the travel to get there and back?? Because i have to get public transport as well, so i would need to pay for a bus or train (but usually a bus)

Look into getting some sort of government funding as you will not be viewed as unemployed, perhaps it may work the same as a type of carer’s allowance.
