Can I travel to Hornsey Rail Station by paying with an Oyster Card?

By · Thursday, August 27th, 2009

I read that Oyster machines had been installed at Hornsey rail station, but the Transport for London website does not seem to be clear about whether or not you need to pay a seperate fare to travel to Hornsey. I am going there from King’s Cross or Highbury & Islington station.

Hi,

Oyster Pay as you Go readers have been installed at Hornsey, but are not yet operational. Oyster PAYG is not yet valid at Horsey station.

However, if you have a travelcard pre-loaded onto your oyster card, you can use Oyster. Otherwise, you will have to buy a seperate fare.

Hope that helps!
