Is travel between cities in Switzerland covered by the eurail global pass or do you need to pay more?
I am trying to budget for my trip to Europe next year in March and will travel around Switzerland for 8 days. I do understand that I will pay for the scenic trains such as Glacier Express but what about the connect train from say Zurich to Lucerne/Interlaken? Help would be appreciated?
thanks for the great answers guys
Any regular train routes in Switzerland are covered by the Eurail/Global pass – including routes between the cities you are mentioning. Only exception: Private trains and cable cars to a few of the highest mountains and peaks, however, discounts are granted there. Even the so called "scenic trains" (Glacier Express, Bernina Express, Golden Pass) are covered as these are nothing more than very normal train routes that are also used by the locals. Just seat reservations on such trains (and of course on regular routes, too) have to be paid for additionally. Seat reservations in the so called panoramic coaches are cumpolsory – however, look out for these, as the view from them is spectacular.

Is there any programs where I can travel abroad to teach but expenses are paid?
I am currently in college to become a high school teacher. I have dreamed of traveling to India since I was a child but obviously cannot afford it. I have looked around and found places where they will let you volunteer and provide a place to stay but they will not pay for the flight. I was thinking that maybe there was a grant or scholorship I could apply for but htey all seem to be for study abroad. All I would want is enough to pay for my ticket.
I know you said India but have you considered teaching in Europe? The British Councel offer paid placement for students to teach abroad. Obviously I am assuming you are british. If you are interested in something like this maybe discuss it with your foreign languages department.
any over 50 single people out there can recommend a holiday or web site for cheap singles holidays?
I am fed up with searching the web for a decently priced holiday for a single traveller. Can anyone out there over 50 recommend a holiday or web site that offers holidays at not stupid prices to somewhere warm
Every evening I go in the neighborhood at Why Not Cafe in Athens. Grek boys are offering themselves to us, Albanian workers. They beg: Lets play marmango, sir. (Marmango is Grek national gay dance.) After this crisis Greks pay less !
what do you call those people who travel and they get paid for traveling the world?
they travel around the world its free and they still get paid. where do you go to find that kind of job?
Hmmm..this can be many things. Research, documentary filming, cabin crew, au pairs, language teachers, people working for UN, volunteering etc etc
Depends which job you want there are agencies for some of them, just search the Internet. I recommend traveling a lot, its a great way to learn and experience. Best of luck!
