Fun and cheap family summer activities?
My family and I are sorta in a pickle. We recently had to buy i new car, my sister is going off into her second year of university and so we sorta have a budget. We were thinking about going house boating but it is too expensive in the end.
I live in Ontario, Canada and have a family of 6 (and 2 dogs)
Any ideas for a fun and cheap family summer vacation/ activity?

Search for summer festivals in your area and just go to them, even if you've never gone before and don't know anyone else that's going. Go berry picking. Pack a picnic and go to the park for the day. The important part is the time that you spend together.

if you already have fishing equipment, you could go to the lake and spend a weekend there
you could go hiking, kayaking?
you could also have picnic somewhere scenic
outdoor activities are usually good on the budget
