Cloth like swim wear are expensive or cheap at Royal Caribbean cruises ?

I would like to buy something to wear on my Royal Caribbean trip next week, so I wonder if is affordable to buy …

First of all, you have made a great choice with RCCL. They are our favorite cruise lines.

Things do tend to cost more on the ship, however, they are always having sales, so keep your eyes open and check back with the shops daily.

If you want to purchase any RCCL signature items, they can be costly, but, again, watch for daily sales.

My cruise experience is that everything is more expensive to buy on the boat… its a captive audience with no competition and they can charge mostly what they want. I would buy before you go, unless that’s something you want specifically as a souveneir.

Clothing sold on board most ships is clearly more expensive than what you will find on shore, so the only clothing item you will want to buy on board is perhaps a shirt that has the name of the ship on it as a souvenir! As to the rest, the selection can be limited, so depending on the onboard shops for clothes for the trip is not only very expensive but also very risky! Don’t even think of trying to find a swimsuit on board — get a swimsuit before you leave on your trip! The swimsuit selections are very limited in style and size, and are horribly expensive.

All that being said, however, be sure to check the "sales" that go on, particularly those toward the end of the cruise! Sometimes you will find a real bargain — not often, but it never hurts to take a look!
