Anyone know where to get cheap airfare to the Philippines from LA in December?
My family was planning to go to the Philippines in December. Looking up prices I found out that tickets were more than 1000 dollars each and with 4 people going, that's insane. So, I need some cheap flights, or we're not going! ):
Oh yes, if we do go we will be arriving in the Manila Airport
You really cannot get around high airfare if you are flying in December because lots of people fly to Asia in that month. Have you looked up airfare for Philippine Airlines? PAL tends to have cheaper airfare. The only other option I can think of is to go to http://www.priceline.com where you name the price you want to pay and see if anyone will sell you a ticket. Northwest Airlines also flies into Manila but you will have to connect in Tokyo.

Did you try http://www.orbitz.com/ ? Also if you plan to travel near any holiday, fares are always more. I was checking prices for Orlando, Fl to the Philippines in October and they were $800 something.
What part of the Philippines were you travelling to?

Wow, that is high, but December is typically a very expensive travel month no matter where you go! I suggest trying this Travel site to see if they have somthing that might work for you?

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bmhbb.info/r7er and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Lots of people want to travel during December, I can understand why, the month is just supper merry with all the holidays in it. Yes, it is expensive to travel during December, but perhaps you can check out Travelocity for cheap deals. Who knows, there might be a surprise for early bookings.
